  Nobody answered the reception when I have called from the room at around 9:30PM. I used the shortcut key of the room phone to dial reception.
  
  I have called them again the next morning at 7AM using the same shortcut key but nobody answered. Used room service shortcut key and a person answered and said the problem would be rectified and will send the person to fix soon. It was 3 - 4 hrs and still nobody turned out.
  
  The problem was simple, the light in the loo wasn't working from the night we checked in.
  
  That is the primary reason for giving them 2 stars. The hotel facilities are good though.

  Have stayed here often on trips to Newcastle. Staff are friendly and helpful in all areas of the hotel. Room was clean & comfortable with basic amenities fitting this price range hotel.
  Bed comfortable . Took breakfast on this visit and I was served quickly .Good selection on buffet tables.
